This policy explains how Tailored.ie handles personal data when you visit the site or request help finding a tailor. Tailored.ie is operated by Nova Vela OÜ, registry code 12512225, Laane tn 12-7, Kuusalu alevik, Kuusalu vald, Harju maakond 74601, Estonia. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@tailored.ie.

What we collect

Things you tell us as a client: name, email, county, tailoring category, rough budget, timeline and message text. If we follow up, we may also record garment scope, style preferences, fit or comfort considerations, preferred fitting location, event details and other requirements you choose to provide.

Things you tell us as a supplier: business and contact name, public business email, official website, services, counties covered, normal budget range, availability, notes and acceptance of the current supplier terms and response target. A registration is held for independent verification and does not automatically create a public listing or activate matching.

Things collected automatically: anonymised analytics via Matomo (IP-anonymised), and standard technical data your browser sends. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no cross-site ad trackers.

Why we collect it

How the referral process works

We may offer an anonymous version of your brief to up to three participating tailors at once. That preview can include approximate location, category, budget band, timing and sanitised requirements. It excludes your name, email, phone number, precise address and attachments.

Your contact details are released only after an eligible participating tailor submits a quote or consultation plan and Brian approves it. Reserving and submitting do not reveal your details. No more than three providers can receive them for one enquiry. Tailored.ie may charge that provider a lead-access fee or use one of its free pilot credits. Payment never changes editorial listings or matching rank.

Accepted providers may use your data only to respond to this enquiry. Their own privacy policy applies once you deal with them directly. We do not provide enquiry data to advertisers or use it for unrelated marketing.

Service providers and storage

Our hosting, private enquiry-management and email providers process data only to operate the site and communications. Access to the enquiry system is restricted and actions such as drafts, status changes, provider offers, credit use and contact release are audit logged.

How long we keep it

Client enquiry records are scheduled for review and deletion or anonymisation 12 months after closure unless a documented legal, security or complaint reason requires longer retention. Incomplete or rejected supplier registrations are reviewed for deletion or anonymisation after 12 months; active provider records are retained while the directory or referral relationship continues and reviewed when status changes. Accounting and transaction records are kept for the applicable statutory period. Suppression records may be retained so that an opt-out is respected.

Your choices

You can reply at any time to correct your brief, withdraw the request or ask us not to make further introductions. Withdrawal does not undo contact information already released to a provider that accepted before the withdrawal, but we will notify the provider and stop further releases.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing where those rights apply. Email privacy@tailored.ie. You may also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or your local EEA supervisory authority.
